Message	Plus, the hog rings allow a lot more tugging force on the lift wires when done properly with the hog ring pliers. The difference is a skin that is all wrinkly vs one that is stretched tight and even. Any decent pair of heavy duty wire cutters will clip the old rings off in no time. It only took me 30 minutes to remove the skins off my Z seats. Thread of my leatherseat replacement
